Steel Structures for platforms

This Distillery Plant construction would be classified as complex. Predominately supplying the support for the mechanical components and tank farm for the expansion. The project consisted of a steel structure warehouse with a conveyor feed support and maintenance walkway at the apex, a multi-story mill building, various access platforms, stairways, cat Ladders, and service gantries, to carry service lines that feed the plant.

In terms of fabrication, the project weighed in excess of 500 tons of galvanized steel and gratings. Working on all phases at once required high-level communication between the Paragon Management Team, other service providers, and the client. The individual elements within the overall project were managed by local teams from various contractors that reported to an internationally appointed project director, who insisted on a very high standard of workmanship to meet the international standards the client expected. With limited access and a crowded site, precise and strict health and safety management were crucial. Our in-house qualified safety officers and SHEP representatives managed and maintained the client’s standards. By not having to outsource this element to a third party, we were able to simplify the communication and management structure. This intern, reduced pressure on the client’s management, helping in the success of the project.

Paragons experienced rigging teams and high-level project managers were able to keep ahead of the milestones set by the Project director. Despite having to work on multiple concurrent elements, our flexibility, adaptability, and hands-on leadership meant we could focus on key areas with very little disruption to production targets even if other suppliers had fallen behind schedule.

The relationships we have formed with our own suppliers, in this case specifically; access and crane hire. meant we were able to deliver real value for some very challenging lifting requirements that required substantial lifting capabilities.

The Project Director and senior project leadership team expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Paragon Steel Structures for our cooperative and professional work ethic. They recognized our dedication to the project and our sense of urgency in meeting their production targets.
